I have a 1997 Toyota Paseo. Recently a rattle I thought was just the seat belts has gotten louder and louder, particularly when I drive over bumps. It is in the back right side of the vehicle and is a rattle, rattle, ching, ching. I have searched the trunk, pulled the seat forward, checked the exhaust pipe to see if is loose, and banged on the door and trunk lid to see if it is loose. None of the above has revealed the cause. Any help would be appreciated.
Get someone to drive the car while you sit in the back seat and try to find the source of the noise. Rattles that occur while driving can be nearly impossible to find while the vehicle is stationary.
Thanks. I will try that.
I found the cause of the rattle. Took my car to the mechanic that last worked on it and he found a bolt on the struts he had installed had worked loose. He tightened it and the car is now very quiet. No charge either
Glad to hear things worked out so well. Thanks for letting us know.
