Toyota 4runner Air Conditioner

My Toyota's AC will be ice cold when you first crank the car up for the day and most of the time the air will stay cold until you cut off car. When you crank the car back up and turn on the ac again it will blow hot air ( once in a while it will blow cold when AC is cut on the 2nd time but not often ) I check the temperature of the AC and it runs around 35° to 37°. I have had it vacuum out and new Freon put in. Did not change anything. I did notice the gauges when the man had them on my car's AC. The low side show 0 the high side read around 2 or 3 hundred. One man wanted to put a new compressor and dryer on my car , but when I ask if this would fix it he didn't think it would. I live on fixed income and I can not afford to keep taken my car to AC expert to look at it and not fixing it. No one don't know what is wrong with it. Can you help me please?

Sounds to me like a problem with the expansion valve, but I’m no expert.
I don’t think the man you took it to is one either.
I think you need to go to a specialist.

What kind of idiocy is that?

Sounds like you have a stuck expansion valve. Take it to someone who has some idea of how air conditioning works. Sounds like the first two places you tried don’t have a clue.

+1 to asemaster. Any one willing to use my money to probably not fix something would never see me again.
