The fact that you’d like a '50s/'60s Mercedes tells me you’re not afraid to drive older cars, so why not consider a late '60s/early '70s El Camino? They’re rock solid, good looking, and the prices have remained below the level of their counterpart, the Chevelle. The comfort and ride of a larger car, with the convenience of a pickup bed. The best of both worlds. Plus, the cost and availability of parts will be a whole lot better than that Mercedes !
