I know where you’re coming from. I grew up the son of a bluegrass bassist (he was with The Seldom Scene during my formative years), and when we went shopping for a new car, all 3 kids, mom, dad and Bessie the bass went along for a LONG test drive. If the 5 humans couldn’t hang with nearly an hour, that wasn’t the car. I think Honda still makes an Accord wagon. An Outback or Forester wagon could work. Take your bass with you as you shop.
I don’t think the Accord wagon has been made since the late 90s. Problem with the Subaru is that they aren’t that great on fuel mileage since they’re AWD.
