I still go with Tire Shop guy. They hire or have risk managers and lawyers to review procedures, follow standards and whatever else it takes to not kill their customers or damage their cars.

If he wants to verify, I guess a good place to start would be “ask him why the difference”. Young and inexperienced and doing exactly what the boss trained them to do.

Honda is not going to replace the tire if it comes to that. 99+ % of tires
on the road are at a pressure where Tire Shop guy put them and owners keep it
