I also maintain the tires in my car at 35 PSI and have for decades with never a sign of problems at all.
I agree & I would’nt be a bit surprised if your gauge is reading a couple PSI higher than actual pressure.
I have a blue point dial gauge with hose. If I remember correctly I bought it after reading accuracy test results in CR.
