MY 2006 TOYOTA SEQUOIA HAS AN INTERMITTANT PROBLEM. ON TWO OCCASSIONS THE CAR’S IGNITION LOCKED UP AND HAD TO BE TOWED. HOWEVER WHEN IT GOT TO THE DEALER THE TROUBLE HAD CLEARED. THEIR POSITION IS THEY CAN’T DO ANYTHING UNLESS THE TROUBLE OCCURS WHERE THEY CAN WITNESS IT. I DARE NOT TAKE THE CAR OUT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND IT IS THEREFORE ALMOST USELESS. WHEN IT HAPPENS THE ENGINE IMMOBILIZER LIGHT IS ON.
Are you saying it locked up when you were driving it??? Need more information.
the dealer,did you tell them the light was on? that light means the immobilizer sys saw a prob and should there for store a code in the sys. or did the key just not turn? more info please.
