My old Caravan, purchased new when my children were ages 1 and 8, was used as a soccer kids hauler, camping stuff hauler, boat trailer/utility trailer hauler, and any old cargo hauler.
I have carried an upright piano and a double door refrigerator (not simultaneously) inside it.
Mine’s a 7 passenger (2-2-3 configuration) and has integrated child seats built into the middle row seats that have extremely safe lap belt/shoulder restraints. That was convenient while my daughter was growing up.
It gets very good mpg economy and has been virtually trouble-free for 23 years.
As I said, we could not go on without having a mini-van in our family fleet. It’s a do all machine. Example: we decided to go to the beach on Christmas day to meet relatives there.
A wanted to ride my full-size bicycle and my wife drove the Caravan. I got there and locked my bike in the Caravan and when we left the beach, we rode together in the van. Handy, versatile.
