While it is good the scammer had to pay, it would seem this falls under the category of fool me once…
I guess it just helps to prove that many people who claim to be a business “genius” are anything BUT that description.
I’d like to hear the mechanics side. Repairing classic cars, very expensive. In a tv show about Jay Leno’s buying a garage-find Bugatti (I think it was) , Jay’s mechanic says after giving it a once-over back at the shop: "Jay, I think this restoration is going to cost quite a bit more than we first thought. There’s a lot of structural rust, and the parts to restore the engine, suspension, and the drivetrain are much more expensive that we thought.
Jay(smiling): "You mean it is going to cost way more than I thought? OMG!! What a surprise!!! " …lol
then Jay says to the camera: " If you think restoring classic cars costs a lot of money , you’d be wrong. It costs way more than that!"
Why? The court heard it and found him guilty. Pretty clear case, it seems.
I think you know what came to mind for many of us when seeing the thread title, but let’s not go there.
