The Fiat-Chrysler Partnership

Car manufacturers stopped introducing new models every couple of years a long time ago. They just can’t afford it. Especially a small manufacturer like Chrysler. They could have gone farther into the small car market, but the margin is and was so low that they would have had a very difficult time recouping their investment. Until very recently, trucks were the place to make money. And that’s where they tried to go. The same is true for GM and Ford. The small car market was already owned by traditionally overseas manufacturers. Only recently did they have to make an earnest effort to get into the small car market.
