The 1993 t-bird and an aircon question

MY 1993 T-BIRD HAS A FUNNY HABIT OF PUTTING THE AIRCON FAN ON “HOLD” AS I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, OR DURING ANY PERIOD OF ACCELERATION.

AS SOON AS I MOMENTARILY REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL, THE AIRCON BLOWER COMES BACK ON, AND REMAINS ON THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE ACCELERATION PROCESS.

HAS ANYBODY OUT THERE EXPERIENCED WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING, OR CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN THE PHENOMENON?

THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.

Some vehicles have an AC cutoff switch mounted on the throttle body where when sudden acceleration is required the power is cut off to the compressor. This allows full engine power to be used for acceleration and none being consumed by the AC compressor. This circuit may also include cutting power to the blower motor when the AC is being operated.

Tester

Does this car have knobs or AC controls or electronic controls?

I agree with Tester. It sounds like a feature not a problem.

I might suggest eeliminating the ALL CAPS. Most people find them hard to read and they are consider SHOUTING.
