Hello, I plan to purchase Renault Megane 3th gen in some in the option of estate body.
Mainly all this cars came from EU, (here in Ukraine it didn’t sell) so I don’t know a lot about them.
The most availabe Megans 3 here is with 1,5 K9K diesel or 1,2 H5Ft
Firstly I am aimed on petrol engine, due to the face I am traveling 80% around the city and the rest of highway, but as I lately knew, 1,2 petrol engines has very low lifespan, up to 100-150K km of mileage. So probably purchasing this car for my purpses, during the first year I faced the issues with engine…
Most people on this forum are from the US. The only European cars we see are mostly VWs and luxury cars. We can’t help you with specific EU models or with brands we don’t see. Renault, Citroen, and Peugeot are among the cars we haven’t seen in the US for a long time.
You will have trouble finding shops that have a lot experience with vehicles that don’t sell well in their area. Parts may have to come from other countries and with the terrible things going on in Ukraine I think this purchase is not a good idea.

Original parts and analogs are available, so this explains why they popular here.
