When he first looked at the car it had just come in and was not prepped. When he picked it up at the dealer they had filled the gas tank (… ran a check of everything on the vehicle and changed all the fluids, including engine oil, brake fluid flush, installed 4 new tires, polished the car and completely detailed it, too!)
They said they did a Subaru 30,000 mile maintenance on it, their standard operating procedure for pre-owned, regardless of whether it was done previously.) He got all the manuals and they even had the key/remotes in a foam lined Subaru presentation box!
He got back from his nearly 400 mile trip with the Outback.
He is really enjoying it. It’s hard to say just how full the dealer filled the tank, but after 385 miles at 70+ mph he filled it up and it averaged 26.32 mpg. He noted that closer to 30 mpg was indicated at somewhat lower speed.
