Star Chase for police

I saw a report on the evening news about Star Chase. It’s a GPS tracking device that is shot from the front of a police car and adheres to the rear of the speeding car that is trying to get away. Once activated, the police can track the speeder and stop them once they slow down. It can also be used for cars that run from a traffic stop. The officer can fire the device using a fob. The police officers are safe, the public is safe, and the he perp gets busted. Nice.

I also saw that coverage, and I think that this fairly simple technology is a really great advance. :+1:

I think a front mounted machine gun would be better. A few short bursts should take out tires and puncture gas tank.

I was thinking, if that close, use a harpoon. Call me Ishmael.

We have constant problems with sideshows in this area, seems like a good application for that.

Sudeshows? Are you plauged by travelling carnivals?

Yes, they are

Ohh sideshows, I was racking my poor little brain trying to figure out WTH that was for a minute, I knew what George meant…

I hit P instead of O all the time and while prof reading try to figure out why I said out when I meant put, or visa versa, just to name one… :man_facepalming: :joy:

You and me, both!
For a few minutes, I thought that there were suede shows in his area.

I don’t understand, I’m seeing no reference here to “Sudeshows”. Maybe just another forum software glitch? I notice “plagued” is also spelled incorrectly , maybe same problem?

Really George?!?, he just fat fingered it and hit the U instead of the I, it was an accident, nothing more nothing less… :man_facepalming:
