My wife’s 1989 Mercedes 300CE occasionally stalls while driving. At road speeds, it will restart by itself, but at low speeds she has to stop and restart it by turning key. I suspect ignition problems, but will gladly accept any suggestions.
Try wiggling the key while it’s idling. Could be the ignition switch.
Try wiggling wiring harnesses and connectors under the dash and under the hood.
