The left front rim becomes very hot and a burning brake pads smell

I hope you just want to make a note of this because this is dangerous and if you can’t do brake work have this whatever year this Saturn is towed to a shop.

Then you have a sticking brake caliper that needs fixing.

Yup. Mustangman FTW. My Highlander did that when the caliper froze. And then when it froze again. And the third time. I could also see a lot of brake dust on just the rim over the frozen one.

If it’s not this, then it’s probably a brake line that’s collapsed internally, acting like a valve.
