Safety w/key fobs

1st of all, Thanks for answering…
Yes sir, it has the security system, does the hood latch ajar switch not have wiring going to it, I don’t see any wires nor can I feel any around it, the harness close to it all end in the sensors for other things (outside temp and can’t see the other very well)…

And the blinking light on the dash, that was hard to time… lol

I just realized I need to have the under hood cleaned… :man_facepalming:

It is strange if they chose to omit the hood switch for 2023 Tacomas.
The switch is inside and usually impossible to see but the wiring connector is shown below.

Yeah who knows, evidently the 23’s also have a misfire feel to it at idle caused by lowering the idle rpms, it feels more like valve flutter to me, like the old GM 3.3L’s the smaller 3.8L version IIRC felt like at idle, not smooth at idle at all, but very smooth off idle…

So took the toy in for service. Went to leave of course it started, but where is the fob? Usually in the cup holder, it was under the paperwork on the passenger seat, asked a tech to help me find it!
