In fact I have just found this from the BVRLA
which is the trade body who set guidelines in the UK for leases.
Think I’m okay - it’s a shame they don’t specifically write this in the specific leasing companies handbook.

Who knows about the uk? In Minnesota we turned in a fleet of leased cars. Got dinged on uneven tire wear, divit in the windshield, small tear, and I don’t remember what else. I called it ordinary wear and tear for 90,000 miles but like I said, the judge didn’t agree. I’m a little gun shy of leases but you can always buy it.
