When I park the jeep and turn it off, the engine sounds really rough. Also, I smell fuel. It starts and drives fine, although I sometimes think it may be underpowered. Oil pressure, temperature, and tachometer all show normal values.
Any suggestions?
Year? Motor? Mileage? When did last get spark plugs and other maintenance info?
It sounds like it is dieseling on you, which shouldn’t happen on a fuel injected motor. Is this an older jeep with a csrburator?
Pull the oil dip stick out and smell the oil. If the oil on the dip stick has a gas odor, the problem might be with a leaking fuel pressure regulator.
