Re. Wide Vs Narrow Tires - I rest my case

This is one hundred and sixty!

To keep it automotive… Went to an exotic car dealer yesterday. They had a McLaren Elva on the floor. To top, no windshield and compartments for the full face helmets you have to wear. Stupid and ugly. Expensive, of course.

With wide fat low profile tires.

They do have their place…

Like on said McLaren.

NOT the family Camry.

Speaking of McLarens, I see this grocery-getter fairly often when I do my Sunday grocery shopping. I think that it’s a 675 model. In a parking lot that usually contains a bunch of Tesla Model X, Porsche Panamera & Cayenne, BMW 7-series, and some other pricey vehicles, this McLaren attracts a lot of attention.
I didn’t bother to check the tires.

That is quite the grocery getter!

Must either be single or the driver shops every day for food! There is very little luggage space in that car!

Who does, nowadays?

Except yours truly

Bingo!
On one occasion, I saw the driver–who appeared to be in his late 60s. My first thought was… How does he get into and out of that extremely low-slung car?

My second thought was… Where does he put the groceries?

Another interesting thought is that he most likely drove it cross-country in order to get to Princeton. Please note the CA plates.

My bad back and shoulder would prevent me from getting into that car, anyways

Doing my part to get to 200!

McLaren?

I was gonna ask you why you drove across the country to buy groceries… lol.
I thought Cali cars had to have a front tag also?? Are exotics exempt?? although I have no idea where you would put it…

Pffffttttt, getting in it is the easy part, getting out is the trick…

Well, I guess 200 here we come…

On the drinker’s seat and in the drinker’s foot well. You can fit two or three bags on the seat and at least four in the foot well.

It is his daily stretching exercise!

Well, not quite. Derrick Bieri says it on Roadworthy Rescues. I imagine he uses the term on his YouTube show Vice Grip Garage too. I think it’s a fun term and I’ll use it too.

So those of us that even don’t know who that is are supposed to understand that silly usage.

Apparently, he has a good grip on his vices.

Well, the most important point is that he didn’t use any abbreviations or acronyms. Those are strictly verboten!
