I heard on the show about a Subaru using outside air when operating the AC. My wife’s 07 Pathfinder also recommends turning the recirculation button to the off position. Recirculation recommended if the temperature inside the vehicle is hot. When the system is in automatic, it will use recirculation if the interior temperature warrants, but will switch to outside air after a few minutes
