So I left the sunroof open in my wifes Volvo, unintentionally of course, and we got rain overnight. There was about 3/4" of water in the cup holder and the leather seats were damp. What should i do to rectify the soggy bottoms.
The leather will dry, and so will the seat cushions. Leave the windows and sunroof open and park the car in the sun. Get some leather conditioner to apply after everything is dried out.
I’d be concerned about water in the padding under the carpet, which is VERY difficult to remove. Shop vacs won’t do it. Detailing won’t do it. If the padding is wet it has to be removed from the car to dry it.
