There are so many working-class families living in their cars now in the U.S. that I guess the answer to your question is any mini-van or SUV that can serve as a shelter for a small family.
I conclude that as I move through the next ten years of life the prospect of living in my car should be considered much more than a very unlikely back-up plan.I feel it is much more likely I end up living in my car than making a mortgage payment with Social Security the main component of my income.
