I have a 2000 Protege. Has been a great car, but lately have been having what seems to be an ignition problem. When driven more than a few miles, the car sometimes will sputter as if its not firing, and may even die completely. Then, when I turn the ignition over it will not fire and actually start up, and mostly shakes very bad when this does happen. However, the car runs perfectly other times. Any suggestions or similar problems? I would appreciate any advice…thanks
Is all maintenance up to date, as per the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule (which came with the owner’s manual)?
