My 2002 Prius with 110K miles has a check engine light Misfire code 301, 02 sensor, ‘420’ in there somewhere. Dealer wants $1,700 for new catalytic converter ‘assembly’. After market prices on Internet range from $185-$450. Any experience on this board to help me make the decision?
I’d get another opinion about the necessity for a new cat. Sometimes replacing the O2 sensors returns the catalytic convert to normal operation.
