took my 06 vw gti in for routine 80,000 mile service when i got back they told me i didnt have any power steering and asked me if i had any problems with it. i hadnt, they say they have to replace the entire rack and itll cost $1300. feels like a shake down. anybody got any thoughts on this. i dont see how my entire steering system could go out in the 30 feet that they drove it.
Are YOU satisfied by the way the car drives?? You might get a second opinion from an independent shop…
