I’ve used plugs maybe 15 times or so, and if any of them ever leaked again, it was too slow for me to notice. I knew a guy who lived on a gravel road and plugged frequently, and he said if ever a plug failed, just stick another one right in with it; worked for him every time.

The plugs if have are rope impregnated with an adhesive.
