I have a 94 3000 gt mitsubishi.runs great,even at 210,000 mile’s.getting an inspection I passed every thing exceptsd on the low speed emission. standard #117 my reading #185.I want too have a tune-up.Plugs&wires.What do you think should be done to pass inspection.
If it’s never had the catalytic converter replaced, you can start there. I used to have a Chevy Blazer of that same year, it failed emissions in several categories. New cat installed, every reading dropped quite a bit and it passed. Once enough time has passed, they don’t work as well as they used to.
This is just a general suggestion, however. If you tell us what it actually failed on (NOx, CO, hydrocarbons), we’ll tailor suggestions to meet that problem.
