Parking brake needed?

Car i got was making noise from rear area. From this. The cable end is gone. Is it hard to replace missing cable? No hardware. No shoes. This is all I found. The linkage was loose and bouncing around.

You’re going to need a LOT more than that cable

A photo of the other side would tell us a lot.

I’ll look at other side. This is for rear disc so shoes are really small. New shoes won’t do much until I fix cable of course.
