Hi. I recently move to San Diego from Canada with my car. I tried to register the car with DMV and they asked me to get a smog inspection. I took the car to the autoshop and was told that because my car’s odometer is in kilometer, the smog inspection could only be done at a smog referee station. So I called the Department of Consumer Affair to find out the nearest smog referee station, and then was told that due to the California state budget cuts, all smog referee stations are closed until new budget is found. Can someone suggest me a way to solve my problem? Thank you!
