“Tesla has risen to the top” among companies known for creating veteran-friendly workplaces, says Ted Daywalt, president & CEO of VetJobs.

Five percent of Tesla’s workforce is already composed of US military veterans, but the company is seeking to vastly increase that percentage as they get ready for the roll-out of the new Model X.
In fact, 600 veterans are “in the pipeline” for hiring in the near future, according to a Tesla spokesman.

This will also offer conveniently located employment to people in lower income areas like Oakland. The veterans could easily be in both groups; a real one-two punch.

As a retired USAF veteran…I salute Tesla for doing the right thing.
