Thanks. I’m not trying to place blame. I honestly don’t know what would make an oil filter fall off and would like to. People said over tightening, but if that’s not it then are there any ideas?
My beef with Xpress Lube was a customer service issue above all else.
Pay a lawyer to send a letter. This is usually not very expensive and can have results fast. You might not get what you want but many people will want to settle to end a bad situation before it starts. This is what I would do. They supplied parts and service and something happen that never should have.
I was thinking that perhaps the oil filter adapter was in damaged condition right from the very beginning or perhaps it was removed and reinstalled once to fix an oil leak and was damaged in this repair process. Somewhere along the way the adapter was damaged and the poor smuck screwing a filter on it is taking the heat.
