O2 sensor 2001 toyota tacoma 2.7 v4

i replaced the sensor and the truck now stutters all the time. the new sensor has many holes while the old one only had a few. was i given the wrong sensor?

If you got Bosch 15739, or 13989 for extended cab, or 13986 for regular cab, or Denso 234-4189 = any of these for the after catalytic converter position, you got the right one. If you got Bosch Wideband A/F oxygen sensor, part # 13613, for the before catalytic converter position, that’s the correct one, there.
For the problems your truck is having, you need to perform a lot of performance checks on the engine, such as: fuel control system, and spark control system.
