Have a 2014 Grand Caravan and when when we go around right hand turns we get a scraping sound from the passenger side rear tire . I think the backing plate on the rotor is rubbing occasionally on the rotor at least that is what it sounds like (metal on metal ) . The pads are fine and are not very old . Is it ok to just try and bend that plate back a little to get it away from the rotor . What would you use ? Just a screwdriver to try and “gently” pry it away from the rotor ?
Yes finger’s or screwdriver which ever work;s.it won’t take much.
