It will be interesting to see how well the Scion XB holds its value. I remember the Jeep Station Wagon that hit the market in 1946. It was really spartan. The Jeep Station Wagon came with the Borg-Warner overdrive as standard equipment to keep the engine noise and rpms down in highway driving. The ride was hard. Yet, these vehicles really held their value. The all metal Plymouth 2 door station wagons produced between 1949 and 1954 were practically impossible to find at a reasonable cost as used vehicles. It seems to me that the more utility a vehicle has, the higher its resale value.

It looks a lot like the “lead sled” Mercury coupe of that time. I really like the looks of those cars, too.
