Nissan responds to Top Gear's Leaf review

“The Volt gets 123mpg ?”

That’s the experience of owners (lessors?) posted at fueleconomy.gov for the 2011 Volt. On the first page they average the results of all the posted mileages, and it is 123 MPG.

If Mrs JT commuted for a month, she would exceed 40 miles. That’s why any EV or hybrid would be acceptable. Strictly a second car for around town.

No scooter. Period. My Accord is too powerful for her. She is not into driving excitement in any way. And I already said that the Volt is a poor financial choice by comparison to the Cruze LT-1. At least I thought I implied that.
