I have a 99 sentra GXE with 208k miles. Still runs great. It recently started making a whining noise I can hear pretty good. Only makes it when the a/c is running and fluctuates with accel/decel. Doesn’t make the noise with the fan on and a/c off. Any advice is appreciated ad I’m not mechanically inclined.
Check the bearings in the sepentine belt’s tensioner and its idler pulley.
Hopefully is coming from those areas, rather than from an A/C compressor that is about to seize.
I think just have the serpentine belt replaced. Any bad bearing would make a chirping sound or die a quick death if it was squealing.
