New Hampshire Excitement #2

Our joke was always, “it’s only bad if you’re a laboratory rat in California”…

More dogs than kids out there. Don’t know what they do for fun except eat.

Admittedly, the direction the paper spools is a matter of preference, but the direction it spools is patented…

As is typical with nearly every aspect in life, I’m in the minority: the opposite of what’s in that patent poster. Referred to as “mullet”-style here a few posts back.

Talking to the wife about this and she reminded me that years, many years ago, we had to turn the roll around when our cat discovered the roll and when our son discovered the roll… (YouTuber also had this issue of the tissue… )

We didn’t have that problem. An outhouse and a Sears catalog

I’d put the TP one way, the wife the other, I’m OCD so I’d change it back to my way, she didn’t care either way really, but would change it back the other way just to mess with me, so I stopped putting it on the roll, and just left it standing on the roller or on the stool in front of the toilet or on the floor, so for years we didn’t have TP on the roller… Now one bathroom has it on the roller and then other not on the roller…

Women can be cruel. I’m security conscious a little and noticed foot prints on the deck in the snow. They led right up to the door and stopped. How can that be, where did the guy go, on the roof? Couldn’t figure it out. After my full investigation was coming up empty and about to consult the police, she starts laughing. She had done the old Indian trick of walking backwards just to fool me. Had I been a better tracker, I could have seen the heel Impressions. There’s a good war story on this with an apache tracker discovering a Japanese weapons dump.

Speaking of Joe Dirt . . .

One of my current colleagues is rocking a MEAN mullet and looks like Joe Dirt’s taller cousin😆

I think the Mullet is making a comeback!

I had long hair when young, then in my later 20’s I started to look more and more like Gallagher (Leo Anthony Gallagher Jr.), so I cut it short…

Watermelon smashing Gallagher? Yeah, loved his routine.

Speaking of culture, I head on FranLab that MTV just hours ago, NY time, played what they announced would be their last music video.

You can pretty much guess which video that was…

100%, he was awesome…

The MTV part, not a clue, stopped watching MTV when they stopped playing head bangers ball…

I thought MTV had already stopped playing music videos several years ago

I don’t care for MTV or any of its offerings, btw😆

Back in the 80’s when these channels were mostly music oriented, I preferred VH1 over MTV, though I did watch my share of both. I also seem to remember there being a local TV broadcast hosted by Richard Blade (of KROQ fame, for those of you from SoCal in the 80’s) that didn’t last very long. When MTV came out with The Real World it was an interesting watch.

But as I grew older I guess I was no longer the target demographic for MTV and their appeal waned for me. Now I’m just an old man, a walking bag of spare parts. My son was talking to his friend and he said “When we’re in the car, my dad listens to oldies like Red Hot Chili Peppers”.

Closest I ever got to watching music videos was Ed Sullivan, of course the musicians did not appear until after the Chinese acrobats and bears riding bicycles.

Give it a couple more years and those spare parts will be worn out enough they don’t want those either

Comedian Jim Breuer does an awesome routine on this topic:
