New car purchase recommendation

“Actually there IS a pattern of complaints.”

Intelefix reports that 2003 Mazda 6’s have higher than usual incidents of timing chain and oil pan gasket failures. Newer 6’s through 2007 show no unusual problems of any sort. The problems are on the 2.3L engine. The information is posted on MSN Autos. Edmunds also posts Intelefix data. For 2005, the Mazda 6 is expected to cost only $350 more than the 2005 Camry to repair over the next 5 years. Is yours a different year? What engine do you have?
