2000 Mitsubishi IO. 4wd shifter will not move. stuck in 2wdh. Approx 80K miles, previous owner may have never tried to engage 4wd
Sometimes it takes two hands, one on the 4x4 and one on the regular gear shifter. Moving from park to neutral or drive( foot on the brake ) and back and forth sometimes entices the slack in the gears to let you finaly shift it.
Just a maybe, something to try, but the last time I needed this method was on an 80 Bronco.
what system do you have? 2 different systems on that vehicle.
