Minor bubble on 3yr old Good year tire

That is normal and What CapriRacer posted a link to…
Nothing to worry about…

Thanks @Tester for giving me the negotiating tool!

I called them up and the same guy was using the word “protruding” - I referred him to this link and he asked me bring the car for service and no appointment is needed. I already had most of the work done elsewhere but will go there for balancing the wheels!

So it sounds like you’re getting the tires replaced, even after Capri and others said it’s just a minor imperfection.

I probably have at least 2 or three such imperfections per Pirelli tires on my Honda, and they’ve served me well for almost three years.

Was that the original reason for the visit to the tire store?

FYI (for me, I had to research)

America’s Tire and Discount Tire are the same company
, operating under different names in different regions to avoid trademark conflicts; Discount Tire is the primary name, while America’s Tire is used in states like California and the Northeast

I assume the poster meant America’s Tire, and the location somewhere in Northern California.

Yes Sam’s and Walmart are under the same corporate umbrella, their prices, house brands, and merchandise are different. I doubt Walmart would have anything to do with a tire bought at Sam’s.
Examples auto batteries— Duracell vs Everstart
I use a lot of half and half, dollar less per half gallon at Sam’s.
Other stuff I will buy at Sam’s, but some items the bulk sizes are too large to store so I will pay a bit more unit price to get a smaller size.

I bought k cups at Costco yesterday and their chicken etc. then waited to get gas at Mobil. I don’t know the price and don’t care. No line and no tanker stirring up junk in the tank.

Uggh.. for a while my fill-ups seemed to coincide with the presence of that tanker truck at the gas station I frequented. ended up going a day later than I wanted to, with the gas gauge pointer almost in the red..!
