My 2005 5 speed Miata stalls immediately whenever I hit a large bump. It starts immediately when I push in the clutch and turn the key. I barely slow down. Why does it stall?
Sounds to be electrical to me. Check your batt connections Im thinking you might be losing power to your coil packs, ecu or something important while you jar the vehicle. Also if you know where your ecu is located, make sure the big plugs that go into it are correctly secured and or screwed down properly. I have never heard of anyone with this issue actually. Also go to a Miata site and post or search around there…Maybe the Miata-Heads know of this issue?
ALSO…is your battery secured down properly? Hope it isnt doing jumping Jacks under the hood everytime you hit a bump…CHECK IT
