My 2006 Mazda5 has a problem with burning out low beam headlamps. Both sides, but at separate times. I’ve replaced 8 bulbs in the last 18 months of ownership. I had the wiring harnesses replaced 5 months ago to correct the issue and each side has burned out again. What else should I be looking for?
The output of the alternator. Your regulator(part of the alternator assembly) may be bad. Any parts store can check this, and will probably do so free of charge.
Thanks! I’ll get that checked.
Be obsessively careful not to touch the “glass” portion of the bulb when you install it. Any oils from your fingers will damage the quartz used to make the bulb and shorten its life drastically.
