Looking to change cars

Next time spell but t with one t:grinning_face:

Don’t come near the Canadian Border.

About 25 years ago, as a Federal employee, I was looking at places for possible relocation. One job was in the Rockies, about 20 miles south of the Canadian border. Though I grew up, ‘up north’, thought that location would be too cold even for me.

In order to try to get this thread back on track, I have some potentially-useful info. In CR’s “new car ratings”, one of the factors that they include is seat comfort.

I don’t think that the OP mentioned a price ceiling, but I’m going to assume that he doesn’t want something that is a lot more expensive than a top-trim Forester. So, with that in mind, here are CR’s AWD vehicles with the “best” front seat comfort–in that general price category:

VW Tiguan (“average” reliability)
Nissan Murano (“average” reliability)
BMW X1 (“average” reliability)
BMW X2 (“average” reliability)
Audi Q3 (“average” reliability)
Acura RDX (“average” reliability)
Volvo XC40 (“worse than average” reliability)

But, as has been said by other forum members, seat comfort is highly subjective, and seats that CR’s test crew consider to be extremely comfortable might not be good for the OP’s wife. Only an extended test-drive would tell the story for her.
