Please don’t go there.
Please, @Rod_Knox - let’s not bring a gun to a push-button start fight.
Agree a knife would be better.
@VOLVO_V70. The King Midget had a recoil rope start as standard equipment. Electric start was optional.
Recoil starters can be troublesome. I have had to repair the recoil starters on power mowers. I much prefer a pulley on the flywheel with a notch so I can use my own rope with a knot in one end and a wooden stick tied to the other end.
I have had electric windows in every vehicle we have owned since 1988 and have never had a problem. The last vehicle I had problems with the audio system was my 1965 Rambler. I had a radio technician replace a couple of transistors in the AM radio.
I had to replace a couple of ignition switches in my 1965 Rambler and had to have a new lock cylinder on my 1978 Oldsmobile, but have had no problems with ignition swiches on my later vehicles.
I grew up in the days before power steering and power brakes. However, I have never had a problem with either of these features.
Actually, I find electronic controls much more reliable. I prefer the electronic tuner on my television where I can use a wireless remote to the old mechanical tuner on the television that I would have to spray clean every other year.
I am an old geezer, but I don’t want to go back 30 years or more.
Leave the push button. Take the cannoli.
Well, you could get a Tesla. It has no push button. And no key.
You get in the car and put it in gear and go. You never lock or unlock it, and you never turn it on or turn it off.
