Hello,
I own a '98 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado GX with about 93,000 miles on it. Just bought it a few months ago and in general it’s in great shape.
However, I’ve noticed lately that when I start it up in the morning, upon releasing the clutch for 1st gear, it’s a rough transition. After engine and tranny warm up a bit, the engagement of the clutch for 1st gear from a stop is perfectly smooth. My theory is that the fluid may be a bit low. What do you think?
If you think the fluid is low, why don’t you check it? Shoulda bought an automatic.
I think you should check the fluid level.
If the problem were caused by low fluid, it wouldn’t smooth out when the engine warms up, but check the fluid level anyway.
