OP, the other posters have given you some great advice and covered all the bases, yet you continue to rant like a loon.
You seem to think that even if you did have a legitimate gripe that another franchise should apologize for it? That would be like me kicking you in the shin and then your expecting my second cousin to say they’re sorry.
People who work in the automobile service field know for a fact they’re going to see a certain few car owners every week that are over the edge, and this is one of them.
Sorry to you veterans who feel we are over the edge. This is our work vehicle and it took us over 2 years to afford her after we were sold a car who not had lots of problems and caused us to spend / waste thousands on repairs; but also failed our emissions test many times (illegal to sell to someone where we live). The car then died while we were still in court and we had no more money to replace her until this case was settled.
When we got to court; the judge then screwed us over and allowed the seller to get away with it even though CO law is very clear on this point. We lost many thousands of dollars as this car was also our work vehicle and this took 2 years in court due to our disability. This is why we get very touchy when our baby is messed with.
As for changing our own oil; sorry never done it as never shown and we would probably screw it up since we have no mechanical ability.
Thanks for all the advice and we will take it to heart. You are right not all JL are bad just like not all car repair places are bad. Enough of them are so they give a bad taste to the few reputable shops when they pull things like this and then fail to take responsibility. Where is the corporate office in this? Still waiting to hear from them and its been over a week.
Speaking of getting this site set up properly, I notice that my earlier posting, which originally was formatted correctly and which originally had paragraph breaks, is now just one big paragraph without formatting. That is just a bit strange.
So, for anyone who has trouble reading my earlier posting, I apologize and refer you to the web lackeys for an explanation of how (and why) the formatting changed.
This is another of 14 search hits while looking for information on my AC Delco Professional “maintenance free” battery. This one had the answer, thanks to Anonymous. My battery is no more maintenance free than I am, but a standard lead/acid battery, just called maintenance free because lazy people don’t want to do any work on their cars, and at the same time it clearly is misrepresented for those who do care. So, if I want it to last, I better check it once in a while, and add distilled water.
My sympathy here is with OP. He is mute, and under our Federal laws, no matter what we might think of them, he has a legal disability. I wonder how many of you would take it well if you were trying to get help after being screwed up and then someone called the cops because you couldn’t talk. I think it was totally appropriate to relate his bad experience here. Where should he take it? Martha Stewart?
If the advice had stopped at teaching him what can be expected from JL and problems they caused that would be good. But, this changed into a personal attack.
