Before I retired, I had my car repair done by a Master Mechanic in our community. A great mechanic. Once, he told me he needed electronic techs like me, he could quickly teach a fellow to remove and install parts. But, he needed a real tech to understand the modern computer systems. And, he couldn’t pay what the local contract defense plant paid them.
