I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent. I got the front brakes placed soon after I got it (dec). When I drive it a long ways there is a faint burning rubber funny smell that comes from the front of the car. I didn’t remember the smell before I got the brakes replaced but It’s possible I just didn’t notice. Do brakes have a break in period? I’veonly drivin them about 800 miles or so. Otherwise any ideas on funny smells after longer drives?
Funny smells are bad, it is possible you did not notice, but you need to find the source of the smell and eliminate it. It is possible it is the brakes so see the brake guys first.
I agree. You probably have a brake that’s not fully releasing.
