I really want to know why someone would think a plastic bottle would take the place of a parking brake.

Then if you think about it a little, a guy is going to hang around a car he put the bottle on, waiting for the person to come out? Or is he likely going to just follow someone vulnerable a pull a gun when she gets to her car.
My dental receptionist got threatened in the small town walmart parking lot. She pulled her Glock out though and he ran away. She said you’d be surprised at the number of women at the range.
